At Corporate Express, we recognise that the biggest difference we can make is the way we approach our supply chain – ensuring the ethical sourcing of products and offering our customers environmental preferable products.  As part of our commitment to sustainability, we have developed the EarthSaver classification to assist our customers in identifying products that meet environmentally preferable product criteria.

For a product to be classified EarthSaver, the supplier must have signed Corporate Express’ Ethical Sourcing Policy and meet one or more of the following criteria:

1. Recycled Content
Products that contain at least 20% recycled materials

2. End of Life Management
Products that are at least 70% recyclable, biodegradable, degradable or compostable.

3. Low Ecological Footprint
Products that are certified organic and/or biodynamic

4. Sustainable Source
Products that come from a sustainable source: FSC, PEFC and AFS Certified; Fairtrade, Rainforest Alliance and UTZ Certified.

5. Energy Conservation / Greenhouse Benefit
Products that consume or use less energy to achieve the same results as standard comparable products; and products that are able to demonstrate clear and significant energy savings in the manufacturing process.
